A thing or two or three about me.
So, here it is.....
I'm contemporary violinist, playing jazz, blues, funk, rock and fusion (mostly). Started to play violin when I was 5, coming from a musicians family.
Besides violin, I also play electric guitar and electric bass.
In the late 1980's music scene around the world had so much to offer, from pop, rock to jazz. This is the time I realized I really want to be a musician, on stage, surrounded with many amplifiers. With all respect and appreciation to my classical teachers, I wanted something different. And that difference has developed in the late 1990's where I looked into music from a different angle, trying to catch every aspect of harmony, composition, scales and all those sounds coming out of those speakers.
I remember I was able to sit all day at my home just listening to records, from Madonna to Guns N Roses to Dream Theater to John Coltrane and Miles Davis.
Sometimes I still do that.....
And than in 1998, a major change happened in my life. I've received almost full scholarship and got accepted at one of the worlds prestiguos music schools,
Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA.
I entered Berklee in Spring of 2000 and had an incredible opportunity to learn and perform with the worlds best musicians.
Before Berklee, I attended "Kodolanyi Janos Institute" in Budapest, Hungary, and Academy of Music in Nis, Serbia. Unfortunately, they couldn't offer much with contemporarty music so I had to look somewhere else, that's how Berklee happened.
Since 1992, I'm performing live with bands, and that's what I like to do the most.
I have performed in many European countries as well as more than fifteen US states.
Currently I'm teaching and performing in Boston metro area for the last 8 years......
It's just something I can not resist.
